A surface where light settles into material, shaped by hand and intention.
Silver Plaster Wall – Bespoke Plasterwork for Architectural and Public Spaces
This silver plaster wall was developed for use in architectural settings, luxury interiors and public spaces, and executed on site by Rob van der Plas. The surface is built up through multiple hand-applied layers, resulting in depth, nuance and a restrained metallic presence.
Handcrafted Silver Plaster Surface with Light and Reflection
Rather than functioning as a reflective coating, the silver surface derives its character from the layered plaster structure itself. Variations in texture and density subtly influence how light is absorbed and reflected, allowing the wall to shift in appearance depending on spatial context and lighting conditions.
On-Site Plaster Application for Architectural Contexts
Each silver plaster wall is developed in direct relation to its architectural environment. Existing substrates are carefully assessed prior to application, ensuring suitability for long-term use in both private and public settings.
Assessment and Preparation of the Plaster Base
If the substrate does not meet the required standards, renewal or adjustment is proposed before the finish is applied. This guarantees material stability and preserves the integrity of the surface over time.
Bespoke Plasterwork for Luxury Interiors and Public Spaces
The resulting silver wall is not decorative in nature, but architecturally embedded. It functions as a spatial surface with material presence, designed to maintain its quality, depth and visual balance in demanding environments where durability and craftsmanship are essential.
